Environmental Education
Centres
To ensure the continual appreciation and conservation of Namibia`s environment,
Environmental Education Centres run by the MET have been established at Namutoni in
the Etosha National Park as well as Okatjikona,
at the Waterberg Plateau Park. These Centres focuses on students and young
people in particular in order to provide a more practical approach to environmental
education than the traditional classroom...
The
MET`s Environmental
Education and Information Service (EEIS) unit handles the
comemmoration of environmentally-related events and international
days of observance and makes it appliccable to our local circumstances
in Namibia. During such events the MET releases statements and
advice to the Namibian people as well as displays its latest
