Description:

Abstract:

An outline of locations of protected areas in some conservancies. Information on the occurrence of fire in protected areas, wildlife and mortality records are presented. The data set covers the following areas: Caprivi Region, Kaudum, Mahango, Mamili, Mangetti and Mudumu conservancies.

The data is primarily produced by the Community Based Natural Resource Management (CBNRM) monitoring programme.

Purpose:

The data provides information on the location and extent of the protected areas in the covered Region and conservancy.

Supplemental_Information:

Digital data can be obtain on CD, once requested preferably through e-mail. No hard copies of the data is made available. Technical Prerequisites for using the data is GIS software - ArcView mostly.
