The accuracy of the data is seen as in average in the range of about 100m. The catch is recorded in tones and effort in hours taken. The average for the long past years is used as a threshold against which recommendation are made.
The data are sampled by methods of bottom trawl from where the catch in tones and effort in hours are calculated. This data is linked to UN convention on the law of the sea.
