Description:

Abstract:: The data set with information on the automatic weather records covering the Namibian coast. The data set is primarily produced by the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources for Coastal and Atmospheric monitoring purposes. The sites where the actual data is recorded are marked with GPS points, with the accuracy of at least 100 m. In situ measurements are recorded. The data is sampled on an hourly base with variable measuring units, depending on what is being measured.
As the data is used in monitoring the atmospheric condition, the threshold has been defined by the ministry to be the deviation from the long-term means.
Purpose:: The data set is primarily used in atmospheric monitoring and on research bases.
