Description:

Abstract: Gobabeb groundwater logger.

Purpose:

To record the fluctuation in the Kuiseb/Gobabeb water table. The borehole used to monitor is situated on the upper flood bank of the river, under trees. The height of the pipe above the ground is 1.16m, and the depth of water below the pipe, at the time of installation, was 5.24m. the logger is located at a depth of 30.72 feet below the ground water. The water logger records 6000 readings before it will start overwriting the data was stored first. the sample interval is one reading per minute, but can be changes if necessary. At present all data are stored in feet.

Supplemental_Information:

GPS reading for the logger: 23. 33.840S; 15.02.367E. The monitoring of groundwater at this logger is ongoing.
