Description:

Abstract:

Photographs at 50 fixed points in the Namib and along a transect between Gobabeb and Windhoek on the Gamsberg road, and another similar in the Southern Kunene region at all Napcod study sites.

Purpose:

For monitoring changes of vegetation over seasons, years, and decades. This technique lends itself to qualitative and quantitative analyses (e.g. identity, number, and size of plants and their relative cover).

Supplemental_Information:

This initiative operated only for one year, 1997. However, it is planned that the process will be taken up in a near future.
