As a preparation for the World Summit for Sustainable Development (RIO+10) to be held in South Africa in 2002, UNDP/Capacity 21 is funding the National Assessment process. National Assessment process entails multi-sectoral consultations regarding achievements and challenges of Namibia since the Rio Summit in 1992, in order to generate concrete visions for sustainable development based on the review of the past 10 years. The overall process is coordinated by the DEA.
