Date of last update: 1999/12/01
ID notes: See also Livestock: stock rates - summer

Stocking rate maps were generated from the densities of cattle in winter, and densities of donkeys and goats (as

described "Livestock densities:cattle in winter", "Livestock:donkeys" and "Livestock:goats"). Stocking rates were

calculated as cattle density+donkey density+ 0.125*goat density, giving the number of large stock units per square

kilometre.
