The Northern Namibia Environmental Project
(NNEP) was jointly funded by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and
the
Department
for International Development
of the United Kingdom.
The project ran for three
and a half years (ending June 2000).
NNEP sought to promote sustainable
environmental management in north-central Namibia through
information-based and participatory processes for environmental
planning.
The information system
established by NNEP is now run by the Natural Resource Information
Service (NRIS) of the Ministry of Lands, Resettlement and Rehabiliation
(MLRR), Oshakati. |
