Component 4: Project Management Support

The component's overall goal is to strengthen the capacity of MET to manage and supervise CBNRM activities.

Specific objective: 
The component focuses on delivering the necessary support (technical, financial and coordination) for the project stakeholders, in particular the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, to achieve the project's respective objectives and deliverables as part of the National CBNRM Programme.

The two sub-components are:

1. Project Office and Management: 
The sub-component provides the necessary infrastructure and training for the Project Office staff. It will further enable the establishment of an advisory mechanism - the Technical and Scientific Advisory Roster (TSAR) of experts. 

2. Review and Reporting: 
Annual review and reporting to conform to donor requirements (including external audit and safeguards reporting), Mid-term Review, and Final Review (ICR).

Component 4 beneficiaries: 

The primary beneficiary of this component is MET and its newly constituted Project Office. In addition, funding of "as needed" technical and scientific experts in support of project activities through the TSAR will benefit the respective organizations of these experts in the academic community (universities), NGO community, or other Government agencies.
