Namibia's National Biodiversity Programme, through the umbrella National Biodiversity Task Force and its component working groups, has directly launched numerous projects and indirectly sponsored many others.

Some projects include the following:

• Biodiversity Country Study, published as a full-colour book: Barnard, P (ed.). 1998. Biological diversity in Namibia: a country study. Namibian National Biodiversity Task Force/ UNEP, Windhoek, 332 pp., ISBN no. 0-86976-436-5.
