MET Resource Centre
(News release July 2004) |
In the month of May 2004 the libraries of the DEA and the Directory
of Forestry merged and have since been housing their resources in
the same physical location, which is the 7th Floor of the Capital
Centre building in the Levinson Arcade, Windhoek.
This Center now contains just over
5200 resources in books, documents , reports and dissertations, a
number which has risen from a humble 1669 only three years ago! This
includes a range of 500 editions of the Smithsonian Contributions to
Zoology as well as 225 editions of the Environmental Health Criteria
series containing guidelines on the management of chemicals. We are
now able to provide a much broader range of information to a wider
audience than before.
Books that we are distributing en
masse to anyone interested (and that means worldwide) includes:
-
Sand and Water: A profile of the
Kavango region
-
Namibia`s Environmental Monitoring
and Indicators Network Workshop III
-
Livelihoods and CBNRM in Namibia
