The DEA is currently being reorganized. The information below reflects the old organization.

DEA staff structure

The DEA has a core staff of six professionals and two clerical assistants. It currently has some 20 associates, working on specific programmes, as well as University of Namibia graduates undergoing postgraduate training and gaining on-the-job experience. If the funding for all DEA coordinated programmes is traced via NGOs, CBOs and consultants to all personnel employed, it is estimated that some 200 jobs are supported, most in rural communities.
