Annual Field Staff Awards
The Ministry of Environment and Tourism held its annual award ceremony which took place at the Roof of Africa in Windhoek on the 16 September 2010. MET, Hon. Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah presented awards to field staff in the following categories, Incident Book, Springbok, Welwitschia Awards and the Lifetime Achievement Award respectively.
Both the Incident Book Award and Springbok Award was scooped by Monika Shikongo, a Warden from Bwabwatwa National Park (East), the Welwitschia Award went to Wilbard Mukena a Principal Ranger from Kavango Regional Services (Rundu), and the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Nikodemus Kambinda, a scout from Khaudum National Park.
