Environmental Economics Unit

The core mandate of the EEU is to analyze the micro and macro financial/economic contribution of natural resources and tourism to the Namibian economy and the general societal welfare of the all citizens with particular emphasis on economic activities falling under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET). This is met through advanced applied research techniques. Produced information feeds policy decisions and enhance monitoring of the Tourism and natural resource sectors as well as helping to balance the conflicting land use options for economic development.
