The primary functions of the Human Resource Unit of the DASS are to give guidance and support to management, supervisors and staff members about Conditions of Service and Labour Relations.

o    How does one calculate overtime?

Normal Rate: Notch ÷ 2080 x 1.5

                                    Sunday/Public Holidays: Notch ÷ 2080 x 2

                                    Normal hours is from 07h00 until 08h00

                                    Night hours starts at 20H00 pm until 07h00 am

                                    Work perform on Saturday are normal hours 

o    How much does one contribute towards the medical aid?

N$ 60-00 for members and N$ 30- 00 for every dependant 

o    How many days does one qualify for compassionate leave and what need to be attached when applied for compassionate leave?

It is 10 days annually and it does not accumulate.

The Death certificate and Oath of Affirmation form must be attached to the leave form.
