HRT Project

Introduction
The HRT Project, which stands for Human Resources Transformation Project, is one of the projects under the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. It was established in July 2009. This project works hand in hand with the FAST project (Financial Administrative Systems Transformation). 

Purpose and Goal
The purpose of the HR Transformation Project is to assist the Ministry of Environment and Tourism in achieving its broad ministerial goals through putting in place systems for performance management, and improvement with a focus on recruiting and retaining quality staff, staff development, performance management and staff motivation to include staff welfare.
The goals of this project:

  • Develop and implement a HR strategy
  • Assist in the implementation of the proposed new MET organizational structure
  • Launch performance management system
  • Fill vacant positions
  • Carry out functional and administrative training
  • Change culture through training and enforced discipline
